just a quick one before i start on some reading for my upcoming modules.

i had a good day today - did some work and went to town with ash and tina in the afternoon. tina left after a little while. though the weather is not at it's best, it's nice to just walk around in town leisurely and just... talk over dinner. i guess this is one of those days i'll replay in my head when im feeling nostalgic towards student life in leeds.

and... got a poster today [they always have poster sale an the beginning of term]. it's named 'golden new york city' - a pretty apt name if you ask me.

better in time

first day back in leeds went quite smoothly. from flight to moving my stuff from sherrie's, there is almost no glitches or hiccups. think might just be the smoothest move back.

spent the next couple of days unpacking, cleaning and settling in. im not quite done yet, thanks to frequent intermission for sleep, tv, fresh air, etc. but im in no particular hurry; its as if if i finish these things, i'll have nothing left to do before school starts...

i've been craving for real, home cooked food since i got back. i know, its a tad too early for that [been back for 3/4 days only]. my good old flatmate has been back for a week and still doesn't mind having instant noodles [mh: hair loss, hair LOSS]. funny how we [yr and i] wanna have these instant stuff for a meal when there is the real deal waiting for us. oh well.. anyway, i made some japanese golden curry last night [came in cube stock form, not fancy recipe off the internet] and had it with rice. that was satisfying. though not the bestest food ever, its good enough for a good night's sleep and happy stomach. what happened to my one-kg-per-month plan.. ugh.

ok. im gonna try finish unpacking my stuff by today. hate loose ends; hard to tie up! pictures of my new room when im done.

i was packing my stuff for summer storage when i found this -

it was in between my organiser for 06/07. i like going through old stuff once in awhile. be it one year old, five or ten. it brings back memories loitering at the back of my head - some good, some not so. it struck me how transient and volatile things can be. yet, it also reminded me of the good things that stayed constant in my life. and they will continue to be there, even though it may be subjected to variations at times. i guess, at the end of the day, all these just make me wanna cherish what i have more and remember that the only constant is change.

oh if any of you are still reading this, i'll touch down on 14th july - exactly 4 more weeks to go. can't wait to be home!
